Rocket Lawyer's $125 Is a Membership With an Address Inside It

One disclosure, then the numbers. Wisconsin Registered Agent.co competes with Rocket Lawyer for exactly one line of business, the registered agent appointment, and we charge $99 a year for it. The Rocket Lawyer figures quoted here are the ones the company had on public display when we checked in July 2026.

They Charge the Same Thing Whoever You Are

$125 a year for registered agent service. Same figure on every membership level, no promotional opening year, no discount for buying more of the platform. We looked for a cheaper entry point and did not find one.

That deserves a sentence of credit, because most of this industry runs on a low first year and a higher second one, and reading a page like this is usually an exercise in finding the number behind the number. Rocket Lawyer has one number. It is the one they show you.

The Address Is One Item on a Long Menu

Rocket Lawyer sells a legal subscription. Document templates, e-signature, attorney consultations, and registered agent service sitting among them.

If you use those things, the price is reasonable and this page is not really for you. Draft contracts regularly, call the attorney line, pull templates out of the library, and $125 buys a lot more than an address.

If you do not, look at what you are actually paying for. Wisconsin asks your agent for a physical street address in the state, a business office identical to it, someone present through business hours, consent to serve, an email address on file, and papers moved along promptly when they arrive. That is the entire specification. A document library does not make an agent better at it. You are subscribing to a toolkit in order to use the one tool on it that the state requires you to have.

Wisconsin Prints $25 on the Form and Charges $10 Online

Here is a detail that catches people, and it is a good illustration of how much of this job is small local knowledge.

Download Wisconsin's statement of change, the Department of Financial Institutions publishes it as Form 13, and the PDF announces a filing fee of $25.00 near the top of the first page. That figure is correct for the piece of paper you are holding. It is not the figure most people should pay. File the same change through the department's online system and it costs $10. The state discounts the electronic route by fifteen dollars and prints only the higher number on the printable form, which means the owners who reach for the PDF first are the ones most likely to overpay.

Wisconsin also allows the agent, rather than the company, to file a change directly under Wis. Stat. § 183.0118. That path matters when a provider relocates its own office or steps down, and it is why a competent agent can update an address without sending every client back to the filing queue.

None of that is difficult. It is just specific, and specificity is the actual product in this category.
