Two minutes fixes the money part. Log into Bizee, find the date the included coverage stops, write it down somewhere real. Now you get to decide what happens on that day instead of finding out later.

What Wisconsin Does If the Report Never Arrives

The compliance part is worth more attention than the $149.

Four annual report deadlines exist in this state. March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31. Yours is the one that closes the calendar quarter your LLC was organized in, which means Wisconsin gives different companies different dates and nobody around you is talking about yours. The DFI sends notice roughly 60 to 90 days before your window opens, and it sends that notice to your registered office. To the agent. Not to you.

Miss the quarter and you are delinquent the next day, with no grace period. Each delinquent year adds $25 on top of the report fee. Keep missing it and the department can administratively dissolve the company under Wis. Stat. § 183.0708, which ends your good standing, muddies the liability shield you formed the LLC to get, and shows up in the public record every time a bank or a customer looks you up. Reinstatement is possible and it is far more work than filing on time was.

Now put the two dates next to each other. A free agent term that quietly lapses is not only a service you stopped buying. It is potentially a state notice arriving at a provider who no longer considers you a customer, in the exact quarter you needed to see it. The $149 is the small risk on this page.
